Project Write is a non-profit organization whose mission to create meaningful experiences with writing for both students and adults in a safe environment in order to have a lasting and influential effect on their lives.
To pursue this mission, Project Write offers a variety of programs designed to connect young writers, parents, students of all levels, professional writers, university faculty, and the community-at-large.
The Young Writers’ Program at Project Write strives to provide positive experiences with writing that both encourage imaginative processes and develop confidence with the communication of ideas in a safe and supportive environment.

2018 Young Writers' Summer Workshop - June 25-29, 2018
Join us from June 25th to June 29th at Shenandoah University in the Bowman Building downtown for a week-long Writing Workshop complete with guest appearances by authors and intense workshops taught by our Teacher Consultants! We welcome students entering 4th through 8th and 9th through 12th grades in the Fall to register here for this exciting event that will be held from 9 am until 2 pm.
Registration includes admission for the week's events and Project Write SWAG - a notebook, a pen, a t-shirt, and other surprises, plus a copy of the Student Anthology that will be published post-Institute! Space is limited this year, so please reserve your spot soon!
Each day includes large group sessions, genre sessions, writing workshops, and lots of opportunity for creative writing growth. In addition, our young writers will have the opportunity to conference one-on-one with our Teacher Consultants for personal feedback and revision.

Unable to make the full week? You can sign up for only the days that you are available to attend! Just select your specific days at registration!
The cost of the By-the-Day Young Writers' Summer Workshop will be $80 per day. This includes a notebook and pen, as well as the opportunity to submit to our anthology. If an author presents that day, it will also include a copy of one of her books.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 1, 2018!
When registering, please be sure to enter the students' name on the ticket (this is the first window you will see once you click on the "Book Now" button.) It is possible to register more than one student at a time on the site by simply clicking "Add Ticket" in this same window! If registering per day, you will need to create a new ticket for each day you plan to attend.

Please note that the authors' availability may change at any time and the names are not permanent. We may add or remove authors at any point in time.
Due to our planning of events relying on accurate numbers of participants, refunds are NOT available after the registration deadline. In emergency situations, we will consider a partial refund on a case-by-case basis.
